Effective immediately, due to COVID-19 and for the protection of our staff and participants, the Eastern Shore Area Agency on Aging/Community Action Agency will be closed to the public until further notice. Due to the increase of positive COVID-19 cases and holiday travel, ESAAA/CAA Project Head Start will be delaying the return of in-person classes until January 19, 2021 in an effort to reduce the further spread of COVID-19. In person students will receive “virtual classes”. Breakfast and snacks will be delivered on Monday January 4, 2021 and lunches will be delivered daily for the next two weeks. We will be holding our annual “Sweethearts on Parade” event on February 11, 2021. This year the event will be held virtually via Zoom or you may dial in, Meeting Id and Passcode information will be provided upon request. The annual event features the Eastern Shore’s finest adults 60 and older. We are collecting any items to distribute to families in need. Donations may be dropped off at ESAAA/CAA Hare Valley Site or Accomac Head Start Site on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10:00 am-12:00 pm. Thank you for helping those in need.
The Eastern Shore Area Agency on Aging/Community Action Agency is in need of Volunteers to assist with the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance Program (VITA). Learn to prepare taxes and make a difference in your community at the same time. How can you make a difference? Simple. Volunteer to help your community by preparing taxes free of charge with the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA). You will receive training to provide free tax help for low-to-moderate income families who need assistance preparing their tax returns. As a volunteer, you will join the thousands of others who each year prepare millions of tax returns at thousands of tax sites nationwide. We are following COVID-19 Health and Safety Guidelines.
